Update on Building work

Assalam'u Alaykum,

Masjid-e-Ali ground floor refurbishment of halls, toilets, funeral facilities (and much more) has commenced. We humbly request all members and Luton residents to donate £1400 towards the building fund so that we can complete this work without any delay.

We know this is a large commitment but it's something that can be paid in instalments over several months, whilst the sadqa-e-jariya from this exceptional deed will remain for you until eternity.

Please donate as much as you can today to help us get our fundraising campaign to a flying start. You can donate right now at www.masjideali.org

Building Update 16/10/2013

Beechwood Road (New Building Update)

With deep gratitude we submit our profound thanks to Allah SWT for the blessed decision on the 'Change of Use' of the new building by Luton Borough Council in favour of Masjid-e-Ali.

The process was long and complicated which involved consultation with local residents, involvement of highway agency, traffic surveys and other legal requirements.

A special general meeting has been scheduled on sunday 20th Oct 2013 at 7pm @ 2-32 Beechwood Road, Luton (New premises) to go through next steps. All community ladies and gents invited.

Moor Street (Current Building Update)

We have not received offers close to our asking price, further updates will be provided in due course time.

Many Thanks & JazakAllah for all your support.

Building Update 10/06/2013

We'd like to offer our sincere apologies for the lack of building project updates (on our website) during the past few months.  Of-course progress has been made during that time and regular updates have been provided during Masjid-e-Ali programmes.

As you may already be aware our current premises at 12 Moor Street are now advertised for sale with SR Wood & Son (View here).  We have received genuine interest but the offers have not yet come close enough to our asking price.

In parallel we've been working with Luton Borough Council to obtain relevant change of use in order to be able to use our new premises for the purposes of a Mosque and Community Centre.  Our change of use application is continuing to progress with the Council with regular dialogue taking place between the Council planning department and the Masjid-e-Ali Building project team.

We are currently working with the Highways agency on a "Traffic report" which we understand to be the final requirement before our change of use application can be progressed further.  We expect to be able to provide a further update on or around the 4th of July.

We'll also endeavour to provide regular updates via our website and additionally will be uploading documentation that has been submitted to Luton Borough Council in support of our change of use application.
