*We would like to convey the great news to you that the new toilets (mens and ladies) are now open for use.*

All Praise is to Allah (ﷻ) and May He send His Peace and Blessings upon the Ahlul Bayt (a.s). We thank you all for your continued support throughout the temporary challenges that have been faced as a community recently, and make dua that Allah (ﷻ) blesses you for your resilience.

We would also like to thank trustee Syed Abbas Shah for overseeing this project from start to finish and giving the loan to ensure the work continues.

This is a display of what we can achieve, as a community, if we stand together and work together, as brothers and sisters. There is more that unites us than divides us.

May Allah ﷻ reward you all.

Our next project which needs to be completed ASAP, is the Airconditioning (Heating and Cooling System).

We understand that the centre is cold and are working extremely hard to get this done as soon as possible.

In order for us to move forward on this, we require approximately £70,000 within the next two weeks (by the 22nd December 2017) to begin the work. (When the target is surpassed, funds will go towards the next project)

If you are unable to financially support, please talk to your family, relatives friends, colleagues and get them involved, as you will share in their reward. Allah (ﷻ) will reward everybody who makes a sincere effort for His sake.

None of this is possible without your support, and nor would we have managed to achieve this much as a community without your support.

Jazakh'Allah Khayr wa Khayran Jaza.

Feeding The Homeless & Hungry

Posted in Fundraising activities.

Every morning has a new beginning, a new blessing, a new hope. Help others, even when they can't help you back.

You're never too important to be nice to people.

We are raising funds to build a large kitchen facility which will feed the Homeless and Hungry; hot nutritional meals and mineral water free of any charges for the whole community in the name of Imam Hussain (a.s)

We endeavour to liaise with other Humanitarian NGOs to coordinate this Humanitarian effort.

This will be managed by local community centre volunteers who have a passion for Humanitarian work.

Change the world by your example, not by your opinions.

Target £100,000 Estimated Cost

If you would like to donate non perishable food & water please contact the Project Manager.
Visit our website for a list of essential nutritional foods required.

Small acts of kindness will echo in eternity.

Syed Ali Safdar Rizvi recited Majlis at Masjid-e-Ali Luton Thur 24th Nov 2017.

Giving his full support & duas for the Luton2Everest Challenge 2018 Expedition Team to help raising £2.5m to complete the project.

Luton2Everest Challenge 2018 - Our Story

In April 2018, We will be undertaking a 14 day trek to the legendary but notorious Mount Everest.

We will be undertaking this trek on behalf of MeA Community Centre a Registered Charity - which supports feeding the Homeless and Hungry and will be a coordination point for volunteers for human crises around the world where children and the most vulnerable have been impacted by conflict or natural disasters, including local disadvantaged people and deprived communities across the UK, regardless of their faith, gender or cultural background.

Mount Everest is the highest peak on Earth at 8,850 meters (29’035 feet) above sea level. No other mountain on Earth has a higher altitude.

The air is 50% thinner, there’s steep climbs and rocky roads, Yaks that push you off the edge and a place called Dead Ravens (Gorak shep)

Our trek will begin in the ancient city of Kathamandu where we will fly to Lukla Airport- famously known as ‘The Most Dangerous Airport in the World’. On a daily basis, we will be walking anything between 5-8 hours a day. This will include crossing suspension bridges, walking up steep paths and slowly ascending in to thin air. We will be acclimatising on a daily basis as the air gets thinner and the weather gets colder! Eventually, We will reach Mount Everest Base Camp where there is 50% less oxygen than at sea level. If we feel braver, we will go one step further to the Khumbu Glacier Falls which is approx 6000m above sea level and raise the Flag of Community Centre that flies above the MeA Community.

We will aim to post updates of our training between now and the trek, and concluding with sharing pictures of Mount Everest as viewed from Base Camp. However, this will be a mountainous (pun intended) effort and I will need you to support and motivate us. Please open your hearts and your (online) pockets and donate so MeA Community Centre can continue to support disadvantaged and deprived local & national communities across the UK.

Please sponsor and follow our incredible journey to Everest on here but importantly, get on board - Join the team and help raise the flag!
