 Sheikh Hamza Sodagar (from Islamic Seminary, Qum), will be at Masjid-e-Ali on Tuesday 2nd September. Sheikh Hamza will be reciting Dua-e-Tawassul and delivering a lecture (in english) on the topic of Ramadhan. There will be an opportunity for a short Q&A session at the end of the lecture. This is an excellent opportunity for us to benefit from Sheikh Hamza's extensive knowledge and his intelligent and logical style of speaking.
Tuesday 2nd September 2008 Immediately after Maghribain prayers Inshallah. Brothers and Sisters, all welcome. Food, you ask? We will do our best to organise food/refreshments!!

Ali Naqi Memorial Tournament |

Youngsters representing Masjid-e-Ali participated in the inaugural Ali Naqi Memorial Tournament held in Watford on Saturday 23rd August. The tournament was held in memory of Brother Ali Naqi who passed away suddenly in March 2006. He was a very active member of the Watford Shi'i community and the Shiachat forums.
The imaginitively named Luton Team A and Luton Team B exhibited exemplary behaviour both on and off the pitch. Luton Team A managed to get through to the Semi-Finals of the tournament where they were unable to convert a string of chances and ultimately lost 2-0. It was a good experience however and everyone enjoyed a good day out.
